Greetings NJCDA Members and Friends, 

 

Can you imagine if there was a place where career counselors, career coaches, school counselors, and workforce development professionals all worked together to create a stronger dialogue to prepare NJ residents for the ever-changing workforce?  NJCDA plans to be that place.  As your new president, I am extremely proud to announce NJCDA’s initiative to expand our membership to promote this inclusivity and diversity. 

 

As history has shown us, major economic events play a crucial part in our job force creating a level of panic with individuals seeking career-related assistance.  Now more than ever, we need to unite career professionals to clients/students through these uncertain, trying times. NJCDA is committed to developing career-related resources for all career practitioners, especially as we continue in this uncertain economy.

   

Our mission is to offer career-related training and events that unite our career professionals throughout our state so we may learn from each other’s perspectives. In order to do this, we need to identify and include all voices in our conversations. I ask you to join me in this quest to grow our membership and our offerings to meet the needs we recognize exist and to discover those we need to include and develop.
